Q: why do some (many?) people laugh at serious things?
A: I mean, it’s just a defense mechanism against feeling uncomfortable. A way of saying “that is far away”, trying to associate it with not being real.
Q: good or bad?
A: I think net bad, and will make a habit of not doing so.
