It is often extremely alluring to hope that someone else will do something about an important problem that would be uncomfortable to solve yourself. But it isn’t necessarily true.

When you feel like shirking responsibility, one good thing to think is “suppose that everyone thought like this; then no one would do anything about {important issue}“.
